With the recent weather happenings my heart wanted the Mazzies but my fatherhood responsibilities had me solo parenting, so I compromised and took them to the Mazzies. Expected to find a light dusting and was greeted with inches on the ground before Sunflower, an incredibly icy 627, and otherstately scenes along the trail. Kids were totally enamored with this adventure from start to finish. Highlights:
- 5 yr old teaching his brother how to make snow angels
- 3 yr old getting a dumped on by a tree branch and, instead of crying, releasing the deepest and most authentic belly-laugh I’ve ever heard
- 1 yr old wolfing down mitten-fulls of snow as fast as she could scoop

One of the best adventures we’ve ever been on. Can’t wait to take them deeper into these mountains.
