| partners | | A conquest into the mighty Sierra Ancha Wilderness to finally check out a site that has been on my radar for many years.
Most of the research I had done for this spot was also performed years ago which I should have refreshed on more before heading out as there were a few key photographs if I had seen again I would have known exactly where "it" was but of course didn't see them until back at home.
The frustrating part is we were on the exact right path with no less than a half mile away but turned around after doubting the obscure rough location but I should have known better already being aware of the ancients and their ways of practically defying gravity and placing real estate in unforgiving nooks and crannies.
It was warm all day but thankfully never hot and now that I know of its exact location the hardest part will be staying patient enough to wait until Autumn for the next visit or go for a eager alpine style start to beat the heat. |
