Solid day of exploring in yet another familiar environment but of course a slightly different path and since we had a record snowpack and melt all of the canyons took on a slightly different look with more water everywhere as with every revisit-ish trip up here has been in 2019 thus far.
Didn’t see another human all day as usual just plenty of elk and a healthy high country porcupine.
Regardless of the 7000’+ elevation and breeze it was still toasty for a modern day mountain man and I found myself guzzling 2 liters of water which led to a rare filter refill in the canyon.
The pups consumed her usual 2 gallons or so water ;), bushel of corn lilys, grass and a heaping dose of animal scat.
