A trip out to the Miles Ranch area again. I hiked up the old Rock Creek trail with thoughts going off trail. The Rock Creek trail has seen a lot of work. The trail is marked with cairns/blue ribbons and cleared about six feet wide. The trail work stopped after about 4 miles. After hiking an open trail with shade and running water the overgrown section loss it's appeal so I turned back and enjoyed a nice easy stroll back. I only saw two other hikers on my way out and a few squirrels along the way. If you want to hike Rock Creek trail, now it the time.
