| no partners | | Wanted to do something easy and relaxing. Got to the trailhead between 1 and 2pm. There were 8 vehicles at the trailhead, and many of the occupants were hanging out up there.
We descended to the Creek and explored downstream, maybe a half mile into Bear Canyon, where we did some rock climbing. There was so much green, it looked like a rainforest in some areas, but no water.
We headed back to WCC and went upstream a little bit. The sky was perfect, only a few clouds, a lot of birds. The water was a little chilly, so we mainly stayed on the use trails along the sides. Enjoyed the views, had some beers, checked out Sundance Canyon on the way back. We saw about 12 people total at the creek, and almost all of them were within 20 yards of where the Point Trail arrives at the creek. Guided and encouraged a couple who were struggling on the trail back up. Overall a very laid-back trip. |
