| no partners | | With the recent rains, I decided to hike up to the waterfalls in the canyon up above formations east of the Praying Hands. I am not sure what to call this canyon. Route Scout called it First Water Creek Falls. I've heard it called Canyon of the Waterfalls. Whatever it's called, it's AWESOME!
I have been up here many times, sometimes it's dry, sometimes it has a nice flow, and I have been in here when it was scary flowing and I had to "retreat".
Whatever the name, I am happy I went out. I saw a couple people on the way up, but I saw nobody in the canyon while I was in there for a couple hours. The flow was not too strong, but strong enough to make this beautiful canyon even more beautiful.
When we get some more rains, I am sure I will be back again. I am definitely a "repeat offender" with this one. I cannot get enough of this place. |
