It had been a couple of weeks since I had gotten out so I decided to take a chance on the weather and head up to the rim. Parked at the mud puddle parking area they call Barbershop and started off. Light rain at the start, then the sun came out and cranked up the humidity. Once we climbed out of Barbershop Canyon the sun went away and the clouds opened up. I don't mind hiking in a little bit of rain but this was way beyond that. Attempted to wait it out for a little bit under some pine but with no end of it in sight we decided to head back. Of course a quarter of a mile away from the truck the rain stopped. ](*,) Water and mushrooms were everywhere. I gambled with the weather and lost but at least I got a free shower. :lol:
