Woke up before the sun came up and headed out to the First Water TH. Got there at 6:40 with several cars already in the parking lot. Got the headlamp out and off I went. With the sun not up and some wind it made it a bit chilly to start and of course I was wearing shorts. Finally got some sun over the mountain when I was near Second Water Spring. I've been in Boulder Canyon many times, however, I had not done the portion from Calvary to the Dutchman and I wanted to check that portion off so I headed up Second Water down to Boulder Canyon where I saw my first person of the day. He was headed up to Battleship for the 15th time or something like that. Continued down Boulder Canyon then jumped on the Dutchman to take it around and back up to the TH. Once I got past the Calvary junction it got pretty brushy and was much more of a boulder hop then I had thought, definitely a one and done for me. I was tempted to go explore Needle Canyon but the amount of brush was an instant turnoff so I decided against it. I hadn't hiked in the western Superstitions for about a year and I always forget how rocky they are; they beat the feces out of me feet.

Only ended up seeing about a dozen people all day, definitely expected more on a Sunday but not complaining at all. I was hoping the newest update to RS would fix the crashing issue but it bit the dust twice on mem which is still much better then what it was.
