I got some very bad news about a friend of mine. This hike was one if his favorites, so I decided to hike up there and pay a little tribute.

It was hot at the start, but the humidity seems gone. The hazy skies made for a colorful sunset, but it ended quickly.

No critters today, which was disappointing as I have seen a virtual Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom of photos from others hiking up here lately. I think the Critters Union Local 74 has it out for me and spreads the world to hide when they hear me coming up the mountain (huffing, puffing and at times, wheezing). Maybe that's the problem, I am scaring them...ha ha

A somber visit to one of my favorite little hills. I spent a little time reflecting on things. Life is short and our time here is fleeting, that is for sure. I am grateful for what I have, that is for sure as well.
