| no partners | | Another quick hike up this cool little hill. I was hoping for a nice sunrise, but the cloud cover I saw driving up Usery Road dashed those hopes. Oh well, this was an exercise/sanity hike, pictures were secondary as I already have a ton of photos from this location under much more "photogenic" conditions.
A few vehicles at the parking lot when I started out. I always see people out past the gate camping in trailers or trucks. I heard a couple generators whirring. Crazy place to camp.
The hike up was the same as always. I thought I saw a snake in the trail and got my phone all ready to capture the moment, but I was disappointed to see it was a rock. ha ha. So, I saw this rock and many others hiking up, but no critters.
Another fellow came hiking up behind me when I reached the top, but he turned around as soon as he got up there. I passed another hiker with her doggie on the way down. Other than that, no other humanoids along the trail.
The sunrise was a total dud, as the clouds blocked the sun. I stayed up top for a little while, hoping for the sun to poke through, but it was pretty clear it was not going to make an appearance. So, down I went.
A got my daily exercise in, a little fresh air and back home to work before 8am. |
