I always try to get in a hike on my Bday. The clouds looked like they might allow for a nice sunrise, but never relented. A promising start, but a dark/gloomy sunrise. But, it was still an excellent way to start the day.

Nobody was on the trail on the way up. There were a couple fellows that made it to the top right after the sunrise and I passed a few others on the way down. The parking area was packed with bikers, horse trailers and a few ATV folks.

This is always a nice hike, no matter what the skies display. Short and sweet with a little elevation.
