An added consulting job, a couple of out of town deliveries, and a few health issues have kept me off the trails for over a week. I needed a quick hike to get back into the swing of things. This little hike always does the trick.

The clouds looked promising on the way up, but the winds made for a hazy sunset. The parking at the gate was busy with OHV folks and I counted 4 separate camping spots right off the sandy FS 3554.

I was alone on the mountain going up. When I reached the top, a young fellow soon joined me up there, but he started back down as soon as he got up there. There were a couple of other couples that made it up at sunset.

Nothing new to report on this hike. No flowers, no critters other than the usual bunnies, birds and lizards. Just little needed exercise and a nice scenic view of the surrounding area.
