I only did part of the actual Granite Mountain Loop Trail, but did a bigger loop around Granite Mountain and just to the east of Cholla Mountain. Started clockwise on the Bootlegger, then Granite Mountain Loop, Branding Iron, Divide, Cholla Mountain Loop, Balance Rock, Chuchwagon, Whisky Bottle, and Turpentine. Saw a few other hikers and some bikers. Weather was chilly the first 15 minutes then stayed cool after the sun got higher in the sky. Very clear, making for very nice scenery. No wildlife seen.
