Just a quick little trip to look around and camp at Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a place I had not visited since 2017. Lots of wildflowers still lined the highway from Sells to Why, but with the exception of Lupine and Penstemon, they are fading fast with the drier/warmer weather. When I checked in at the visitor center, they mentioned there was an evening program at the amphitheater. I normally don't attend those, but this one sounded interesting. Ajo artist Tom Kiefer was presenting slides of his exhibit "El Sueno Americano." Turns out it was pretty thought provoking; glad I checked it out. It was a nice quiet evening at camp.
