I drove over to the Safford area to get another perspective of the Gila River flow. Looked good as usual. Definitely evidence of some big flow events following our wild and wet winter. There weren't many clouds noted when I arrived in the area, but by the time I was leaving Safford around 4 o'clock, outflows from storms to the East moved in. Winds up to about 40 mph or so, areas of blowing dust, and spits of rain buffeted me as I rolled out of town. Kind of exciting. :D It was quiet when I stopped for dinner in Willcox, but you could tell the atmosphere was loading up for more action. :)
