Day 2 in Holbrook area. I've made a couple previous visits to a backcountry starting point accessed from the I-40 Pinta exit but I schemed up another reason to go. There is plenty of butte/mesa edge out there and it's nice walking so I wasn't worried too much about having a long (for me) day.

It worked out very well! I found plenty of interesting stuff (apologies for the high picture count) and best of all most of it was where I didn't expect it. Pretty sure there's more to see out there. Was nice to be outside after the long Phoenix summer.
