I planned a longer loop and then spotted a connecting trail that I didn't remember doing before and did a shorter loop. Once I got back near the trailhead, I spotted a trail that parallels 88 over towards Tomahawk Mine and hiked down there and back for a few more miles. It felt pretty warm at first like it might get hot, but then hiking down into the wash provided some shade and there were some clouds early on that kept the temps cooler than usual for late August. Didn't see anyone at all on the trails the entire time and no wildlife.
