Took a little bit of a drive out this area to some trails I haven't done in a few years. With the heat I wanted to keep things level, so the Esplanade-Cliff Walk loop seemed like a good choice. I hiked at a slower pace than last week with Brian, and also hiked about 2 miles less. The temperature wasn't as hot as last week, but I was feeling it on the last mile of last week's hike, so I was content to shorten this one up a bit.

Weather was humid, so I was pretty soaked at the end despite what was basically a pretty leisurely walk. No wildlife to speak of other than the usual birds and rodents. Lots of bikers and few other hikers.
