Once I got towards the end of that, I discovered a trail that headed north paralleling the wash. That ended at a cul-de-sac, and I headed further north on the wash until I got to 4 miles and then turned around. On the way back I followed the same trail further south until it ended and then took a DC Ranch path (i.e. sidewalk), to the trails. After that I took the Horseshoe Trail to the Gateway Loop and then the Bajada interpretive trail.
Saw a few other hikers here and there, 3 or 4 bikers early on. shady and cool to start, got a bit hot towards the end, but not too bad. |
