Started from the main trailhead and did a lasso loop on the Malpais Trail. Lot of traffic early on with people trying to get done before the heat kicks in. Mostly bikers, but also a lot of hikers and trailrunners. Pretty humid, looked like there were monsoon storms not too far away at first. By the end I was pretty soaked. Empty parking lot when I got back.
