Started from the Needle Vista lot but didn't get to Hackberry Spring. I opted to just wander the horse trails and jeep roads making a loop down to First Water Road and back to the lot. Cloudy at first but then it got a little brighter, but no blazing sun at least. Checked out a few areas of activity from possible mining or other stuff from way back when. Saw 2 hikers and 2 bikers the entire time. Mild weather and laid back hike, nice Sunday morning after yesterday's odyssey.
