| no partners | | Jeep with some cooling issues; just out of the shop so a test drive in order. A little hot to hike but I brought gear just in case. Border loop drive, some interstate, some secondary pavement and a long at times slow dirt road section. Storms are building. Mixed bag, the bad, lots of apparently dead oak trees due to heat and drought. Some signs of green up, and even a few flowers, then dry and brown. Some sections of road showed run off damage from some recent rains. I saw no other vehicles on the dirt section. Washboarding had me drifting the Jeep unintentionally in spots. The drive went well, I got it up to the top end of the temp range and the thermostat seemed to function correctly; held and came back down. With and without AC. I almost never use AC on dirt roads; don't know why maybe cause my first Jeep didn't have AC.
Usually commentary on the Jeep at the BP checkpoint " Dayum, that thing is a monster!"
Next up to adjust the Teraflex upper ball joints, which have a bit of slop. |
