A little hiking in the general area. Had some folks who wanted to come play in the water. I drove in Fri nite and camped in a hot spot not as great as I thought it would be. Might be that bark scorpion that was on my camp bag.
However some general poking around was good, hiked in the canyon some just to enjoy the water while waiting on the others. I was in early so saw plenty of deer, turkey, a small bobcat, javelina and got a not good pic of the local heron. A pretty low slung car made all of the water crossings to get to the first TH parking. I was pretty impressed by that.
Spoke to the rancher who blocked this end years ago. At times I can be a good listener.
Good day, hot but the area lush and green and plenty of water.
