I hit the snooze alarm and almost decided to sleep in but after an hour I got up and hit the trail. I was an hour behind on my plan so I needed to push the pace so I would have some time for exploring. I was looking for Al Morrows mines. I've been in the area before but didn't see any obvious tailings so I was hoping my recent exploits had honed my mine finding skills. It may have been luck but I did manage to find 2 of the mines in 30 minutes before heading back to make it home by 12p. The temps were cool at the start (6:50a) and nice on the way out. The creeks are still flowing a little but easy to cross. I only passed 2 hikers on the way in but the trail was busy heading back. I need to return to find the remaining mines but this was a good start.
