| partners | | Quick overnighter to the cabin with my dude Jamaal. I tried to come out here a few months back but made a wrong turn and didnt bring a map so never made it. Good thing I didnt, because it was a lot longer and tougher than I expected. The hike down the hill was nothing special, just very rocky and ankle cracking. There were a few ruin spots but they were pretty bare and not very interesting. Once we got to the creek bed it was real nice and shaded. There were tiny orange ribbons to mark the way to the cabin. We were very surprised to see how stocked it was! From 4 beds outside and 2 on the inside, to the chairs, to all of the fuel, to the not expired cans of food, to the running water.. It was a nice surprise. Spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up the cabin and camp area and exploring the spring nearby. After we got home I saw some of the other trips here and those glyphs! Will definitely have to go back to check out that panel some time. |
