Nice mild temps again this am,wanted to take the Jeep road from massacre grounds old parking lot to first water horse staging area after CannondaleKid verified it went all the way there. Decided to start from a busy Crosscut TH , unlike the last time I tried to loop from massacre grounds was able to stay on the Jeep road but it seemed a little tricky on the way back. Since I had arrived in the First Water horse staging area decided to go ahead and complete the Hackberry Spring Loop. There was a pool at the spring and with a little prompting some trickling was initiated from the pipe. Took a break next to the bedrock mortar holes on hill 2474. As I was descending Second Water Trail from Garden Valley it seemed like the tour bus had just emptied,otherwise did not see too many on the trails today.
