I decided to take advantage of a nice day and do a hike that had some distance and elevation gain, and Mount Ord comes through on both counts!

It was a near perfect day to hike, and I was quite comfortable in shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt.

There was a little bit of snow on the trail, which I wasn't expecting. There was a small section of snow on FR 27 at about 5,500 feet; and there were several sections of snow on FR 626 on north facing, shady sections of the road. I probably would have put microspikes on a couple of times except that I left them at home. The snow wasn't bad to walk on though, although I got careless on the way down and slipped on some ice in one section and fell and bruised my pride! I think that I will survive though!
