| no partners | | Parking lot pretty full. Saw lots of bikeriders along the Parkway. Had a little different version of a route in mind but it was a little warmer than I like so I improvised.
Headed east on to Sidewinder and then around to the west, took the AV, back down to Sidewinder, across the desert to the Sidewinder/Ridgeback Junction.
Quite a few hikers out today, most all said hello but there's always those two or three that just can't bring themselves to acknowledge you let alone say hello.
Quite a few bikers out. It would be nice if when they come up from behind that they say how many they are. I appreciate the ones that say on your left.
Quite a few lizards too.
On the way back got buzzed, it rattled my body as I got chills and goosebumps ... thot of taking a picture but decided I've had my fill of rattlesnake pictures with all the postings I see from Arizona Hiking on FB. Continued on Sidewinder, up AV and back down to Sidewinder and done.
PS I think my new waist pack is going to work great. The one I bot in 2003 or earlier was fine but didn't work as well when I carried my P&S camera.
For an update on office owls, see photoset.
And now it's time to enjoy the rest of my "Bonanza" Saturday. |

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
