Alexa said, 88 and 49... seems to be the norm at 6:30AM lately. So up and at 'em. Had a slight detour driving there as construction continues at Loop 101 and Cave Creek; it feels like it's been years now. I don't know if you remember but I thot it would be done by the time I retire, NOT!

When I got out of Tonto, I knew it was going to be a double hike :( . There were a lot more vehicles in the lot than I thot I would see and a lot more hikers and bikers to match. I went clockwise which is not the norm for this hike. There was next to no breeze and the sun was out unlike a couple days ago when it was 88 and 49 with overcast skies. At this point, I doubted I would even do the Peak but like so many other times when I hike and think I won't do something, I did the Peak and it wasn't too bad really.

If there had been a breeze or overcast I would have at least tried to hike a couple more miles but it was just too unpleasant. I did see two baby lizards and one big lizard on the hike and one fellow on his flat bike (not sure what you call those). He actually makes pretty good time.

Look, the AEG and mileage are exact! and the time almost hit that number too.

WATCH: 3.07 miles, avg bpm 109 with max of 110 (obviously something is wrong with these numbers), 100% at aerobic burning 356 calories. Starting temp said 84.1 with 53% humidity finishing at 8:21AM.

Had to go to 4 Q-Trips to find a frozen cappuccino but all machines were not functioning correctly :o . How can that be? (My Q-T cappuccino search took 8 miles, sheesh!)

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
