| no partners | | 6:45AM start - 93 degrees 25% humidity - a filtered sun once in awhile, hot on the south side. However, today, vs last weekend there was the b word "BREEZE", though slight. It just makes a big difference for me. And per usual, the east side of the hike provides that when I need it most on a counter-clockwise hike. Last mile was a little tough as the heat started to get to me a little. I know, I'm a wimp. I did do two of my Hood Walks this past week, one of them at 107 but humidity was only 13% and of course, no AEG.
I was moving at a little slower pace trying to fight the heat. Not many people out this AM. and you know what, I don't think I saw even one lizard. Saw virga to the NW. (Sciatica (at least that's what I think it is), has been acting up above outer right knee on most all of my real hikes; annoying!)
I continue to break my record of latest city hike of the summer. At least I get the reward of a frozen cappuccino and High Chaparral (it's nice to see our desert) when I get home. Finally found my westerns via my Philo app on our streaming tv system that carries the INSP channel.
The 27th is less than ten days a way. Will the gyms re-open? I think if the numbers don't come down, they will remain closed. Did I tell you I HATE working out at home yet |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
