I parked down the road as I noticed yesterday the In-gate was closed at 7pm and I read online that the Preserve closes at 7 so I didn't want Tonto Jr to get locked in.
Today was even nicer with the slight cloud cover. Still had the slight breeze. The little hill to start is a way to get the lungs puffin' a tad but not bad. I went clockwise and basically did a figure 8. The Footlhill Palo Verdes are still in various stages of bloom as are the few saguaros.
When I went past the parking lot there were still lots of cars at 7:15PM and as I was driving down 16th St the ranger was just driving in. So I wonder if he closes the In-gate and then has to wait for all the other cars to depart. I would assume so. |

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
