At first when I started, I didn't think I would do the full route as it seemed a bit warm and humid but somehow, my body adjusted and I made it through. If there had been a steady breeze, this would have been a piece of cake.
There were LOTS of legs on the trail today. Lizards were everywhere the entire way. I couldn't even begin to count and just when I thot I saw the last of them, another would pop out. It's like they knew I was the only one on the trail and they wanted to come out and say "hi". There were four squirrels too. I saw one bike rider mid-way and another hiker coming in as I was finishing. I did tripp big one time and I still freak out a little as my wrist has not completely healed yet. I hoped that the sun would stay behind the clothes for the whole hike and it did.
For my road trip I bot two battery fans so I fired one of those up while I sat in Tonto 3 enjoying my first huckleberry beer of the desert hiking season .

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
