Got started a little after 0630. Cool, cloudy, and breezy—beautiful. Could have used a light for the first twenty minutes, but opted not to since snakes were not a concern. Great sunrise on my way up Pyramid; I wasted about ten minutes taking pictures of it.

Headed west on National, with a quick stop on Goat Hill. Down Ruins to finish out the loop. Saw very few people until I was nearing the trailhead. Not my preferred weekend hike, but better than nothing.
