A trip with Preston and Denny into Haunted Canyon to see the sites. Neither had been to the Periz cabin so we stopped there first. I know where it is but started to doubt myself as we neared the area and it was still not in view. It's amazing how well the cover hides it. We pointed out the cave from the trail as we passed by. Preston hadn't seen it yet so we decided to explore it on the way out. We passed Tony cabin and went to an old trough in the hills. The idea was to determine what used to be up there. The prospect hole nearby was to be filled with rocks and mulch so no clues to what they where digging for. On the way out we hit the cave. It was larger and more fun than I remembered. On the hike out we passed many young backpackers on the way in to camp. We also saw two deer and some riders along the way. Party in Haunted Canyon! It was nice to get out with Denny & Preston again and rehash old stories.
