It had been a couple years since I had hiked Haunted Canyon and my cousin has never hiked in the eastern half, so we headed out to the Eastern Superstitions yesterday morning to hike out to the ranch. A bit chilly at the start with only two cars at the TH when we started. Pinto Creek was pretty dry for the most part with only a couple of sections that had a light flow. Tony Ranch Spring had a good drip as always and was overflowing the metal trough. Had the ranch to ourselves for about 10 minutes before a couple other groups arrived. After a quick break, we started the trip out. The wind really picked up on the way out and by the time we were up on the ridge it nearly blew us over a couple times it was so strong. Came across Ben Knowles on the road out. Haunted Canyon is always an awesome hike with beautiful views, just wish Pinto had more water.

On a side note, I was sad to see that some disgraceful human had spray painted red arrows on the rocks and trees along the way. There are several other hikes in the area where this has also been done. Such an absolute shame!
