Accessed the ridge using the scree/wash up to 2 very helpful cairns (thanks to whomever put those there!) Once on the ridge, was easy going, and easy to follow. Once at the top of the ridgeline, was surprised to see some snow on the trail, at its very ends though. Took the ridgeline over to the siphon draw. Only saw two groups of hikers till that point.
Wanted the hike down siphon draw to be done as fast as possible. SO many people, and the trail had been somewhat destroyed due to recent rain and snow. It was a bloodbath (literally blood on the trail). It is so dangerous with that many people. Anyways, got that part over as quickly as possible. Took Jacobs Crosscut back to Broadway trailhead. I had never been on Jacobs Crosscut, but it would be a great one to go run one day. Great 15 mile day! |
