| no partners | | I have now done all or part of the 3 main hikes to Wasson, and this is probably the fastest, which is nice. Also, the views to the west on the way down are enjoyable. Sweetwater lacked Tucson Views, relatively speaking, if I recall correctly, and I found the Hugh Norris to be too long for the AEG. Maybe those others are more enjoyable in spring with flowers?
Either way, all 3 will hopefully have a good flower show in a month or two, or so, as the soil (what little soil there is over the Rhyolite rock) out here is moist from all the rain and snow. The Tucson Mountains did have a nice layer on them on the 1st.
The air this weekend is so moist. The late afternoon really reminds me of Florida in winter. This is not a bad hike overall, but it feels a bit like Blackett's Ridge, and the stats are so similar. My guess, is that this is a great flower hike in spring. |
