| no partners | | This hike along the Mazatzal Divide to Hopi Spring will mark the end of my Arizona Trail hikes, I have now completed it in both Directions (my hikes were round trip). I still want to do the Grand Canyon Inner Gorge this fall because I haven't done it in years and I think I need to do it again and add it to my silver collection (over 60).
I'm not going to do a description of this hike because it has been done by so many. I do enjoy the hike up Barnhardt Canyon but with temperatures in the 80's it was getting a little warm (especially with highs in the 30's and 40's on the North Rim earlier this week). Time to retreat to higher elevations. I did run into a couple of people along this trail though. Was planning to do the North peak trail the next day but opted out of it because it was going to be even hotter on Sunday, Besides I have to get home and fix the water heater. Debbie tells me it's not working. |
