Another beautiful morning greeted me and again balloons dotted the sky. My plan was to do and out and back on some of the Sidewinder trail. I got underway about 8am. A gentle ascent was first up with at the top views to the north and southward made for good viewing. The trail then did as it's name implies winding it's way along the hillsides. There were the occasional flowers waiting to open up and lots of greened up Ocotillos. Hikers and bike riders showed up from time to time. A Cactus Wren at the start of the trail was the only bird that I saw all morning. I turned around at the I mile mark and retraced my steps. Another enjoyable morning in the Sonoran Preserve under my belt. |
