| no partners | | I started out to hike up to the cliffs of Peak 2276 to catch the sunrise, but I decided to hang a right and take the side road that ends near the base of the cliff. It was a dark start and I hiked down to the shore line below the cliffs.
A few sporadic cars/trucks were moving along Hwy 88 and the first boats did not appear until right at sunrise. So, it was me and some ducks enjoying the blue hour along the lake.
I was searching for a view that had seen on an earlier exploration of this area late last year, near the drainage that runs along the sw base of the massif. A very interesting area. I hiked up below the cliffs and then headed back to the spot I found.
Because of the mountains, the sun did not appear until 7:30am from my vantage point. No clouds and very subtle, but still a nice way to start a Sunday. |
