My plans for hiking in the Supes changed after I got a late start. I needed to avoid the circus that is First Water Road after 8am-9am. Plan B was Dome Mountain.

I drove the Titan down 1356 to the "trailhead" and started up the Jeep Road. The weather was perfect. I opted for the higher trail that starts before the end of the road. I have always enjoyed this hike. It's scenic, usually empty and offers some nice elevation gain.

Right off, I found the red arrows that some person felt necessary to add to this trail. I have heard reports of other trails in the Goldfields with similar arrows. Who ever is doing this, please stop. You are defacing this area and you should be ashamed of yourself.

The saddle was windy, but has that great view of Four Peaks. It still had a little snow from last weeks storms. The hike up from here is the steepness from this hike. I ran into some hiking friends in this area - Patrick and Kristen Bulger. I always seem to run into these two when I am out - GMTA, I guess!

I always like to stop along the cliff areas that are below the final push up to the summit. Such great views.

The summit is an excellent 360 degree view for sure. I noticed that the two lawn chairs that where up there when I did this last spring are gone. That's good. Why someone would drag those up there is beyond my understanding??? I took the obligatory pictures up top and then started down.

Some interesting clouds started in by the time I made to the road on the way back.

Another excellent day in the Goldfields.
