A hike out to La Barge Creek to search. The spot didn't look good so I visited some old haunts and hiked out. the weather was good but the trails were busy. I hiked in from the Needle Vista lot to avoid the crowds at First Water. I passed about 20 hikers on the way in and almost as many on the hike out. I run in to Lorne from Montana who I've see a few times on my summer hikes.
