| no partners | | | #37 of 50 hikes. Timpanogos Cave National Monument is located in American Fork Canyon near Alpine, Utah. It's a nicely paved 1.5 mile trail to the cave's entrance. The tour through the cave system consisted of 3 caves called Hansen's Cave, Middle Cave, and Timpanogos Cave. I was really impressed with the content of the 45 minute tour. The cave was quite chilly and wished I had a thicker jacket towards the end. I wasn't sure if Route Scout would be able to track me inside a mountain. Sure enough, it lost my location but once it found me again it created a solid line to connect the route. Enjoyed the hike and we even got to see a family of big horn sheep. |
