I didn't count this hike as a new, separate hike since it was the same trail we came in on (August 11) and we were heading back to the parking lot today (August 13). Jon and David packed up and left before I woke up. Chris and Rich were just leaving as I poked my head out of the tent. Coumarane waited patiently (since he was our ride) until we packed up and we headed back down. Henry's Fork area is a nice hike, highly trafficked with lots of connecting trails and fishing. I hope to see the forest regain its beauty from the pine beetle quickly. I definitely plan on hiking other nearby trails in the area. This backpacking trip was more than a memorable experience! |
