I'm baaack

. When I drove up to the TH lot I remembered it was Sunday, thus all the cars. Oh well. And then when I got on the trail and started encountering all the bike riders too and hikers, I realized it was definitely Sunday. First thing is one of the hikers tells me the rattlesnakes are out. Sometimes I think it's better that I just don't know.

Based on it being Sunday and it being hotter than I thot and so many people, I thot to do just a quick loop but I decided to man up and stick with, at least, part of Plan A so headed up to Ridgeback Overlook. As you come to saguaro corner, sadly the other saguaro's arms had broken off

. I did fairly well getting up the hill considering I hadn't done any real hiking or working out for two weeks (except for the lengthy walks in the Phoenix, Charlotte and Atlanta airports and hike at the Biltmore Estate, Pond and Gardens). Altho, my legs were really sore from my barbell class workout yesterday morning.

There were about 1/2 dozen hikers on top as I continued on my way down to join up with the Sidewinder. The cloudy sky was pretty so I ended up taking a few pictures. Most everyone said hello. It would be nice if the bikers that have more than two in their group to let you know. My legs were too sore to do the Apache Vista so I just finished on the Apache Wash Connector to Tonto 3.

I did throw in some photos from my flight PHX to CLT.
