I thought about hiking Humphreys again, but didn't want to have to go through Flagstaff twice in 5 days, so I opted for another Mount Ord hike instead.

I started hiking at 5:30 AM which enabled me to beat most of the heat, although there was plenty of mid day sun on my return.

The trench halfway up FR 27 is pretty easy to get in and out of now; it remains to be seen if that will still be the case after monsoon storms this summer.

Wildflowers Observation Substantial
Flowers on the lower part of FR 27 are fading, but the upper half of FR 27 and FR 626 is still looking good. Mount Ord continues to be the Wildflower champion of AZ in 2022.
