As the saying goes: "A day without Mount Ord is like a day without sunshine!"

With that in mind, I got up early and made a beeline for the Slate Creek TH. I pulled in the parking lot right at 5:00 AM, and started hiking a few minutes later.

With the early start, I was in shade for the first 2 miles, and was in shade most of the way up to the FR 626 junction. There were a good many clouds, so there was ample shade much of the rest of the way.

I did not notice any changes to the condition of FR 27 since the last time that I was up there, so there does not appear to have been any monsoonal thunderstorms up there at this point.
