I had my eye on some hikes with roads that are questionable when wet, and with rain this week and more on the way over the weekend, those had to wait. So I got up early and got a hike in (mostly) before work, a repeat of the same route I did six days ago. It was a little cooler than it was last Saturday, in the mid-30s when I started...but that's good motivation to keep moving to stay warm. The trails had a few more puddles than last time, but still not too muddy.

I was surprised at how many people were out on a weekday, especially a day on the colder side. By the time I finished around 10AM, it almost looked like weekend-level crowds. No interesting wildlife sightings today, though I did hear a coyote howling near the trail but couldn't quite spot it. There was snow visible on a lot of the distant ranges, and Four Peaks had a lot of white, even far down the mountainside. It's great Arizona's getting rain/snow...I just prefer it not on the weekends
