I was very dark when I started ~5AM, but the just-past-full blue super moon provided enough light that I could get by without a flashlight. As the sunrise approached, it was nice having the moon light the western sky and the sun start to light the eastern sky, and there was some nice color on the clouds in the west post-sunrise. It was a fairly typical outing all around...hot and humid again, but an average number of people out on the trails and no particularly unusual wildlife, just a lot of rabbits. There was a little bit of cloud cover on the return that provided some shade, and I wrapped up around 8:30AM and was home just as it sprinkled a little in the east valley.
