| no partners | | Had to get out and stretch my legs today after too many days of low activity due to the warm weather so I wanted to check out the portion of Lost Goldmine Trail from Carney Spring parking lot to Turks Head. The local trail riders and hikers have been busy clearing brush and improving the trail so it's good to hike a trail with many of the rocks removed and no blood letting
Only saw one other hiker on the trail so it was pretty nice to have the trails almost deserted. Lots of gnats around to keep ya swatting, but not a big problem. The stretch of trail that passes through the Saguaro Forest is pleasant as ever, just wish there was a few more flowers along the way.
This is a very nice trail for someone looking for a hike with few hills to climb, lots of scenery and not very busy. |
